2014 Clemson Preview

In this episode of the Renegade Report, Herc & Nolebra Kai preview Saturday’s showdown against Clemson.

For the 3rd straight year, ESPN’s College Gameday will be onsite for the FSU vs. Clemson game. With Clemson’s loss to Georgia, this game doesn’t have the hype of the last 2 meetings but make no mistake about it, this game is just as important to FSU. Lose this game and the Seminoles likely don’t win their 3rd straight ACC Title. Lose this game and chances of making the College Football Playoff take a major hit.

Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins are gone but Chad Morris still has more than enough weapons to make his offense deadly. Cole Stoudt and Deshaun Watson will both get time at quarterback. Adam Choice and Wayne Gallman provide a nice ½ punch at running back. The Tigers’ offense also have compliment of receivers that can give the Seminoles’ secondary trouble.

When FSU has the ball the matchup to watch will be FSU’s senior laden offensive line vs. Clemson’s senior laden defensive line. In the running game, look for Jimbo Fisher to attack the perimeter of the Tigers’ defense as they’ve struggled to set the edge with their front and their linebackers have struggled playing in space. We don’t expect Jameis Winston to throw for over 400 yards again but we do expect a big day from the offense.
